Find the mood.
Pick tonight's game.

GameSquire is a board game collection tracker built for game night. Every game night starts with the same debate: what do we actually play? GameSquire ends it. One tap filters your shelf, a friend's or your household's by mood, quick after dinner or something deep for the regulars, so tonight's game picks itself.

Free to download. App Store version coming soon. Your account also works on the web. No ads, ever.

Want to hear what's new? Leave your email and I'll write a few times a year, by email or app notification, about new releases and what's new in GameSquire.

Almost there: check your inbox and tap the link to confirm.

Never ads. I'll ask you to confirm first. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and if you have a GameSquire account the same choice is the News switch in the app.

What it does

What should we play tonight? GameSquire answers that.

Not just a catalogue of what you own. Add your friends and your household and the question changes from "what do I have" to "what can we actually play right now." Already tracking on BoardGameGeek? Bring your collection, ratings and plays over in one step.

Pick tonight's game by mood

Quick Fix, Deep Dive, Date Night, Family Table. One tap filters your shelf, a friend's or your household's down to what actually fits tonight.

Match your shelf with a friend's

Add friends, see their collection and instantly spot the overlap, plus their wishlist before you buy a gift. No more group-chat archaeology before game night.

Share one shelf with your household

Up to 5 people, one shared collection. Everyone's own ratings and play logs stay personal, the shelf itself stays shared, just like the games on it.

Every play, remembered

Log scores for every player or fill them in from a photo of the score sheet, plus co-op and solo results, the expansions at the table and a timer that keeps running. Add where you played and keep private notes on any game. Tag the friends who were there and the play lands in their history too.

See how you really play

Stats show your win rate, how much of your shelf you have played, your top games and your record against each friend. Insights, Challenges and a shareable Year's Tally turn a year at the table into something you can look back on. The Knight subscription opens the deeper Insights.

Ask the Herald about the rules

Stuck on a rule mid-game? The Herald, the rules assistant, reads the game's rulebook from the GameSquire library, for the edition and expansions you play with. It answers with the page it found the rule on and tells you when the rulebook does not cover it. Squire (the free plan) includes 5 questions a month. The Knight subscription gives your household more. No rulebook yet? Tap Find it for me.

Learn to play, step by step

Guides to setting up and playing a game, written from its rulebook with page references. They are ready for the most-owned games. With the Knight subscription you can ask for any other game and usually get it within a day.

Fill your shelf in minutes

Bring your BoardGameGeek collection, ratings and plays over in one step. Scan a barcode for free, or photograph a box (even several at once) while GameSquire finds the games for you. Your shelf exports to CSV for free whenever you want, so your data is never stuck.

Plenty of apps are good at recording what you own and what you played. GameSquire is for the moment before that, when everyone is at the table and nobody can decide. Add your friends and your household, pick a mood and choose from what's left.

Why GameSquire exists

Pricing & questions

Free to use. No ads, ever.

The core app costs nothing and stays that way. Knight membership is optional, for people who want more.

Squire (Free) forever: shelf, plays, friends, matching, households, win rates Knight membership €3.99 a month or €29.99 a year: more rules questions for the Herald, Learn to play guides, more scans and Insights, shared by your whole household

Where can I get it?

GameSquire is free to download from Google Play. On iPhone or iPad, join the TestFlight beta while the App Store version is on its way. The same account also works on the web.

What does it cost?

The core app is free to use, forever, with no ads, ever: your shelf, play log, friends, collection matching and up to 5 people sharing one household shelf. Everyone also gets 5 Herald rules questions a month, plus 5 box scans and 5 score photos to try. Optional Knight membership adds more of each, plus Learn to play guides, score sheets, Insights, Challenges, places and cost tracking and colour themes, for people who want the extra toolkit around game night. Knight membership is €3.99 a month or €29.99 a year, and one membership covers your whole household. Prices in your local currency are shown in the app.

How can I support GameSquire?

The best support is by using it and sharing it with your group. Feedback helps a ton as well, send it from Help & feedback on your Profile or to support@squirebuilds.com. And if you'd like to, you can leave a one-off tip on the support page. Tips are voluntary and don't unlock anything.

What platforms is GameSquire on?

Android, the web, and iPhone and iPad through the TestFlight beta (App Store coming soon), all from one account. Knight membership is bought in the mobile apps and then works on the web too.

I already track my games on BoardGameGeek or in another app. Do I have to start over?

No. GameSquire imports your BoardGameGeek collection, wishlist, ratings and logged plays in one step, including plays another app has posted to BoardGameGeek for you. Only what's on BoardGameGeek comes across, so extras another app keeps to itself, like custom stats, stay there. Running the import again later is safe and won't create duplicates. GameSquire is built to sit alongside the tools you already use, so keep logging wherever you like and open GameSquire when it's time to pick a game with the people around you.

Is my data private?

If you leave your email for GameSquire news, it is only ever used to send you that: a few times a year, by email or app notification, and only after you confirm it. It is never sold or handed to anyone else. No ads means no ad trackers watching what you do in the app. And your collection is never stuck here: it's built on BoardGameGeek's own data. Your shelf and wishlist export to CSV for free, whenever you want. For how the app protects your account and data, see the security page.
